The medium body, deep purple 2017 Château Beychevelle has a nose dominated by ripe red fruits such as warm cassis, preserved plums, ripe wild raspberries and morello cherries. It also has hints of Bourbon vanilla, sweet spices, chocolate and an imperceivable hint of tea.
With a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc, VertdeVin described it as "...well-balanced and offers a beautiful definition, a beautiful mineralogy, a fresh frame (beautiful freshness), tension, elegance, finesse, juiciness, a beautiful precision as well as a very beautiful silky and delicate touch." (In other words, just beautiful!).
The 2017 Château Beychevelle is a definite "beautiful" investment that has a drinking window 2022 - 2047. Do check out our 2012 Beychevelle too!
