The Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Brut 2012 is a fresh, dry and delicate champagne with fine persistent bubbles.
Pale yellow with slight green hues, the blend of 41% Chardonnay, 33% Pinot Noir and 26% Pinot Meunier was aged seven years in the cellar and gives off aromas of pear, white flowers, peaches, apricots and a touch of biscuits and walnuts.
The palate is crisp and fresh with an initial sweetness and a lingering finish of grapefruits. "...The first contact is velvety, supple and sleek. Then the texture unfolds, as soft as cashmere or felt. This initial softness gradually purifies, the acid structure lengthens and persists, developing into a tangy note with a taste of the sea, underscored by a delicious pink grapefruit note." The 2012 Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Brut is an extraordinary vintage owing to the extreme weather conditions and the proportions of the blend, with a particularly assertive Meunier. Great with fish and shellfish that have a certain firmness. Drinking window 2018 - 2042.
